OCS Inventory
AvailableOn-Prem / CMDB
OCS Inventory NG is often the richest source of hardware-level identity data in on-prem environments. Serial numbers, BIOS strings, MAC addresses, and hardware model details are the merge keys that let Koopic reliably deduplicate assets across sources - ensuring a device that appears in both OCS and Defender becomes one row, not two. Accurate deduplication is what makes control-coverage scoring trustworthy: Koopic can only say "this asset has an EDR control" if it's confident the EDR record and the OCS record describe the same physical machine.
Signal in your risk score
Data from OCS Inventory flows into Koopic's unified asset inventory and shapes how vulnerabilities are scored. Koopic combines asset context - exposure, control presence, criticality - with CVSS severity, EPSS exploit probability, and CISA KEV membership to produce a single, explainable risk score per vulnerability per asset. A CVSS 9.8 on a segmented host with a compensating control scores lower than a CVSS 7.4 on an internet-exposed, unmanaged endpoint with no control in place.
What OCS Inventory contributes to risk scoring
How to connect
Deploy the Koopic Agent
Run the Agent on a machine with access to your OCS Inventory NG server REST API.
Add OCS credentials
Configure the OCS API URL and authentication (Basic Auth or none) in the Agent WebUI.
Create the collector
Add an OCS Inventory collector. The Agent auto-discovers available endpoints.
Push to Koopic Cloud
Data is encrypted end-to-end and pushed on your configured schedule.
How teams use this data
CMDB Enrichment
Use OCS hardware details (serial numbers, BIOS info) to enrich records from EDR and MDM tools.
Hardware Lifecycle
Track hardware age and specifications to plan refresh cycles and budget.
License Management
Cross-reference OCS software inventory with your security tool data for compliance auditing.
Related integrations

EDR sensor health and endpoint control presence - a key compensating-control signal for risk scoring.
Microsoft Intune
MDM enrollment and compliance status - distinguishes managed endpoints from unmanaged exposure.
