File Import
AvailableFile Import
File import lets you bring asset inventory, vulnerability findings, or control data from any tool that exports files - CMDB exports, scanner results, spreadsheet-tracked device lists. Koopic processes CSV, TSV, JSON (arrays, nested objects, NDJSON), and Excel files from Google Cloud Storage or Azure Blob Storage with auto-detection of encoding, delimiters, and column types. Once mapped to the unified schema, imported data participates in the same risk scoring as native connector data.
Signal in your risk score
Data from File Import flows into Koopic's unified asset inventory and shapes how vulnerabilities are scored. Koopic combines asset context - exposure, control presence, criticality - with CVSS severity, EPSS exploit probability, and CISA KEV membership to produce a single, explainable risk score per vulnerability per asset. A CVSS 9.8 on a segmented host with a compensating control scores lower than a CVSS 7.4 on an internet-exposed, unmanaged endpoint with no control in place.
What File Import contributes to risk scoring
How to connect
Add cloud storage credentials
Create a GCP service account key or Azure storage key/SAS URL in the Koopic credential vault.
Browse and select files
Use the visual file browser to navigate your buckets and containers. Select the file to import.
Preview and map fields
Koopic shows a preview of the first 10 rows with auto-detected column types. Map source columns to the unified schema.
Schedule recurring imports
Set a schedule to automatically re-import updated files from the same location.
How teams use this data
Legacy Tool Migration
Import CSV exports from tools being replaced. Map fields once, and Koopic handles ongoing imports.
Manual Data Sources
Import Excel spreadsheets from teams that track assets manually or in tools without APIs.
Bulk Initial Load
Bootstrap your Koopic instance by importing existing asset data from any format.
